The Vault

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 29, 2026

The Vault is a personal jewellery inventory app. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your data.

What we collect

Nothing is collected by us. The Vault does not have a server, does not have an account system, and does not transmit any information over the internet. Everything you enter — item names, weights, purity, photos, notes, and any other detail — is stored only in the app's local database on your own device.

How your data is used

Your data is used only to display your own jewellery register back to you, on your own device. It is never analyzed, shared, sold, or used for advertising, because it never leaves your device.

Third parties

The Vault does not integrate with any analytics, advertising, or tracking service. No third party has access to your data through this app.

Data deletion

Deleting an item inside the app permanently removes it from your device's local storage. Uninstalling the app removes all remaining data with it.

Exports and backups

If you use the app's export feature, the exported file (CSV or JSON) is saved to a location you choose — such as your device's Files app or a cloud drive you control. We have no access to that file once it leaves the app.

Children's privacy

The Vault is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, since it collects no information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same page with a new "last updated" date.
